11/12 - They're getting ready to install the trim around doors, windows, and the ceiling.
The study. The arches are finally 'arched'.
In this photo the wall color doesn't look so bad. Trust me, though, it is!
The hall closet has a door!
Perhaps we should furnish in Early Handyman style?
The study doors.
11/13 Lots of trim today, and.....................

Meet the finish carpenters -
Robert, aka 'The Boss'
Assistant #1; #2 went to Asheville to sell Christmas trees!
And .......................
We have cabinets!
and our cabinets have cabinets!
Here's a sneak peak at Kevin, aka 'The Boss Cabinet Guy's' special cabinet.
11/14 A lot more trim and some cabinet organization.
Window trim.
11/15 Happy Birthday to me!
This is a great card from Grayson & Lauren -
Outside it says, "Have you seen this dog?"
Inside it says, "Now you have. Your welcome. Happy Birthday"
11/16 We flew to Charlotte with our plane partner, Rob Henihan, his wife, Jane and beautiful daughter, Kyra (but I don't think I'm spelling it right??!!!). They had a meeting so Jeff and I went to Ikea for a few hours. We need cabinets for the study - Jeff has his huge collection of veterinary memorabilia, and it needs a home. We've been looking at on at Ivy Cottage - it's still a possibility.
Here are some from Ikea. We have three walls that need cabinets, so it will be mix and match.
Multiples of course.
We like this one because it goes around the corner.
We had a good time and a very adventurous flight back. REAL instrument conditions. It felt good to have two pilots and no worry about being backup!
11/17 Robert and his crew did so much today - and Kevin's crew began the cabinet installation.
Thank you, Tom. Here's your bathroom design! Jeff's brother, Tom, really tweaked the guest bathroom floor plan. Instead of a small sink cabinet, we moved things around and got some really usable space. Needless to say, Tom's an engineer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60P1xG32Feo
and my gorgeous grandson, Grayson (Alliteration!) got his Learner's Permit! Congratulations! Way to go! Where did the time go??????
11/18 So much happens every day - today Robert & Co. trimmed the arched windows, finished the coffered ceiling, put in the pull down stairs, trimmed the fireplace, etc., the 'brick guys' trimmed the outside of "The Costly Mistake", and the "Cabinet Guy" named Guy! is installing the cabinets. It looks so good.
The fireplace will be faced in stone. I'm not sure what Jeff's plan is for the mantel!
The trim work around the arches is so well done.
Our garage has prettier windows than many homes.
"Costly Mistake" looking good.

Ok, a sad addendum. A good friend of mine, Karol Romanelli Vogl, died today after one of the longest and most courageous battles against Breast Cancer. Man, she fought the good fight to the end when there was more cancer than the original Karol. Many of you will remember her from Connecticut. She and her then husband, Frank, were regulars at our parties. Funny, witty, beautiful with the best blue eyes. She adored her daughters, Traci & Nikki, and loved, loved, loved, loved, loved her grandsons, Kyle & Noah. They were/are her "heart". One consolation is that she is resting comfortably tonight for the first time in a very, very long time. Her daughter, Nikki, said the end was quiet with those who loved her holding her hands.
